"Linda & Joan" is a captivating narrative game centered around the lives of a British family. The game allows players to assume the roles of Russell, Linda, and Joan - a son, mother, and grandmother respectively - as they navigate their way through a series of challenging events. The prologue, titled "Four Months Earlier," serves as the first part of the story. Linda pays a visit to Russell in Los Angeles, where he currently resides. Together, they embark on a hiking trail, and players must guide them to the top. This initial section of the game sets the stage for meaningful conversations between Linda and Russell as they reminisce about the past and grapple with sensitive subjects at their own pace.
With numerous endings to discover, players' choices play a substantial role in shaping the outcome of the game. Additionally, one ending involves Joan, who remains at home in Hereford, UK.
Players can opt for either Normal Mode, where they control Russell and Linda follows along, or Challenging Mode, wherein they simultaneously control both characters. This feature enhances gameplay by adding an extra layer of complexity.

The story, art, and development of the game are crafted by Russell Quinn. As an artist, designer, and programmer, Quinn brings his expertise to create a compelling gaming experience. Notably, he co-created the Webby Award-winning titles "The Silent History" and "The Pickle Index."
Furthermore, "Linda & Joan" features original music composed by Jeremy Warmsley, adding an additional layer of depth and emotion to the gameplay experience.
