"Linda & Joan" is a captivating narrative game centered around the lives of a British family. The game allows players to assume the roles of Russell, Linda, and Joan - a son, mother, and grandmother respectively - as they navigate their way through a series of challenging events. The prologue, titled "Four Months Earlier," serves as the first part of the story. Linda pays a visit to Russell in Los Angeles, where he currently resides. Players can opt for either Normal Mode, where they control Russell and Linda follows along, or Challenging Mode, wherein they simultaneously control both characters. This feature enhances gameplay by adding an extra layer of complexity.

Furthermore, "Linda & Joan" features original music composed by Jeremy Warmsley, adding an additional layer of depth and emotion to the gameplay experience.
